The School Saving Bonus (SSB) program is a Victorian Government program providing $400 to each government student for approved expenses. To learn more about the School Saving Bonus online system, download the step-by-step user guide (DOCX, 945KB) or watch this video.
Key information about this program and using it with SCSS is this:
1. The program starts from Tuesday 26November when SSB Codes are being emailed to all registered parents.
2. To use these funds with SCSS you simply need the SSB Code as emailed to you which will work in-Store AND Online with us. You can select “InStore Purchase” at the dashboard to view the code , as well as a QR Code version we can scan instore. DO NOT Select the “On-Line Purchase” option as these vouchers cannot be used with us, either instore or online. Funds you convert to online vouchers or School Activities are not available for uniform purchase from us.
3. You can only spend these funds on uniform up until 30June 2025. After this period all unspent funds will be converted to your students “School Activities” account managed by your school.

The SSB Code parents  receive to your registered email also allows the parent to access their SSB Parent Online system at School Saving Bonus parent and carer online system the URL is https://www.schoolsavingbonus.vic.gov.au/   There is no password needed for this site, just your unique code, and the email address it was sent to. This should get you a screen like below. To use your funds with SCSS either In-Store or Online at SCSS.SHOP you just need to select the “In-Store purchase” link and get your “Bonus Code” along with its QR Code for instore use.

This will look like this below. This “In-Store Puchase Bonus code” is what we need to process your sale (the same as the SSB Code emailed to you) , either In-Store or Online. During Checkout in Step 3 provide this “SSB In-Store purchase Bonus Code” AND enter just SSB in the “Discount Code” field. That allows you to complete the purchase without other payment information. The Bonus Code can be used multiple times as long as sufficient credit remains.


A typical checkout experience looks like below.

Select delivery method (we support all methods as normal, and Home delivery is free for > $50 orders and within 10km of your school).
Enter your In-Store purchase Bonus Code at step 3. This is the SSB Code the government emailed you initially, but also viewable by selecting “InStore Purchase” at your parent SSB online page https://www.schoolsavingbonus.vic.gov.au/   

During Step 4, just enter the letters SSB into the Discount Code Field and hit Apply. This will 0 the payment needed to complete the order.
